New Leaders of Sunnybrook Foundation would like to thank all those that have attended and supported Muse 09: Grey Matters, our 10th annual silent art auction held on October 22, 2009. Partnered with Shamba Nights in Toronto, New Leaders raised over $25,000, surpassing last year's amount by 25%! We would like to express our heart-felt gratitude as we could not have achieved this remarkable accomplishment without your generosity. It was an evening of fun, networking opportunity, and great art, all while supporting a great cause. You can view some photos of the event here (Photos are courtesy of Rudo & Kate Photography).
Proceeds from the funds raised will go towards the expansion of the Brain Imaging and Research Centre at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. New Leaders will specifically allocate the funds towards the purchase of a Transcranial Ultrasound machine. This life-saving imaging device detects changes in blood flow in the brain's blood vessels. It is used to diagnose blood clots in the brain and is thereby crucial for preventing and managing strokes. The machine costs in the range of over $50,000. Please continue to support and help us reach our goal by donating money conveniently online here.
On behalf of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, we sincerely thank-you. We are privileged to have been able to count on your generosity and hope that you will continue supporting Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for many years to come.
